Australian International School Phnom Penh, Cambodia – MYP Coordinator

August 2021 – Present

  • Established, implemented and monitored all aspects of the IB Middle Years Programme:
    • Led components of the CIS/WASC accreditation and IB MYP Programme Evaluation processes
    • Coordinated the MYP Personal Project
    • Embedded Service as Action opportunities in units of study
    • Collaboratively designed authentic assessment tasks in all subject groups
    • Facilitated the development of interdisciplinary units
    • Designed and organized experiential education trips for all MYP students
  • Developed a long-term strategic plan with other members of the secondary leadership team
  • Liaised with LMS partners to guide the MYP transition from Managebac to Toddle 
  • Managed the creation of a schoolwide continuum of ATL skills from the PYP through the Diploma and Career-related Programmes

New Nordic School, Finland – Director of Education

March 2018 – June 2021

  • Created an interdisciplinary Pre K to grade 12 curriculum based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the Finnish National Curriculum 
  • Established strategic objectives and implemented an action plan to achieve them
  • Wrote the new school licensing proposal and application to the Finnish National Agency for Education
  • Designed and led training workshops for school leaders and classroom teachers
  • Identified and evaluated potential EdTech solutions for the construction of bespoke learning management and student information systems

Educational Consultant, Tanzania, Indonesia, USA, Romania – ESS Content Creator and Private Tutor

August 2016 – February 2018

  • During family leave after the birth of my third child
  • Produced original educational resources aligned to the new IB ESS syllabus and MYP Integrated Sciences for teachers around the world
