I’ve spent 20+ years teaching and counseling in international schools across four continents. I bring that same evidence-based rigor to helping families navigate university admissions, wherever in the world they are.
Moving countries mid-childhood is hard enough. Then it’s time to apply to university, and every school counselor gives different advice, every country’s system works differently, and nobody explains how any of it actually connects. I built my university counseling practice for exactly this situation: independent, no-commission guidance for students and families who need someone who’s been there as a parent, a teacher, and a college counselor.
The Science Edge
If you’re thinking of studying environmental science, sustainability, biology, or another STEM-adjacent field at university, this is where I go further than a general counselor. I wrote the IB ESS resources used by students around the world through my IB ESSentials website and YouTube channel.
I know what the admissions committees in these departments are looking for, because I’ve been in the environmental science field for years – first as an undergrad, then working on sustainable agriculture and forestry projects in West Africa, followed by two decades teaching environmental science around the world.

FAQ
Is this different from a school counselor or an agent?
Yes. School counselors split their attention across an entire grade level. I work with a limited number of families at a time, and I don’t take commissions from any university, so my advice is only ever about what’s right for you or your child.
Do you only work with families in Southeast Asia?
No. I work with internationally mobile families anywhere in the world, in person when possible and virtually always.
Does my child need to be interested in science to work with you?
Not at all. I counsel students across every intended major. Science and sustainability-focused applicants just get an extra layer of subject-specific insight.
